May 23—ASSAULT

Police are investigating an assault in the 1600 block of Ontario Avenue. A female victim told officers that she lives in a tent in the backyard of a condemned home and was stabbed by a female suspect. The victim said she was stabbed in the head, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary in the alley of the 1800 block of Linwood Avenue. A female victim told officers that sometime between 10:40 and 11:10 a.m. Saturday, someone broke into her garage by unknown means. The victim said her 2011 Dodge Caravan, a weed wacker, tools and returnable bottles were taken from the garage.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary in the 600 block of Ashland Avenue. A female victim told officers that sometime between noon and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, someone broke into her garage by unknown means. The victim said a weed trimmer was taken from the garage.

VANDALISM

Officers are looking into an attempt to break into the coin box of a "claw machine" in the lobby of a business in the 7200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 5:37 p.m. Saturday. A store manager told police that a male suspect, armed with a crowbar, attempted to break into the claw machine before running out of the store and fleeing in a white car.

ARREST

A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 1:50 p.m. Sunday. The 57-year-old woman was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $154 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary in the 3000 block of Livingston Avenue. A female victim told officers that sometime between 11 a.m. and 3:24 p.m. Sunday, someone broke into her garage by unknown means. The victim said a hedge trimmer, a weed trimmer and a rototiller were taken from the garage.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary in the 1100 block of Linwood Avenue. A male victim told officers that sometime between 3 and 9:30 p.m. Sunday, someone broke into his home by unknown means. The victim said his Cane Corso pit bull mix dog was taken from the home.
