Kate Upton’s tribute to Victor Cruz

Kate Upton and sports go hand-in-hand. After all, the 21-year-old supermodel first gained notoriety when she was named Rookie of the Year in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Since then, she's had an on-again-off-again relationship with Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander (that's apparently back on-again). She's also given golf legend Arnold Palmer some putting tips. So when the 2013 Model of the Year paid tribute to New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and his signature salsa dance touchdown celebration for Vogue Magazine's February issue, it just seemed right:

That Instagram clip was shot during the regular season at MetLife Stadium, site of Super Bowl XLVIII. We commend Upton on her homage. She even threw in a subtle Michael Jackson move at the end (after starting the dance with a spike of her purse instead of a football).

In a zone

Moving to the NBA, Kevin Durant did it again. The Oklahoma City Thunder star hit the game-winner with 1.5 seconds left to beat the Atlanta Hawks 111-109. Durant finished with 41 points and has now scored at least 30 in 11 straight games — the longest such streak since Tracy McGrady did it 14 times in a row in 2003.

Goalie's worst nightmare

Finally in the NHL, New York Islanders winger Kyle Okposo finished a 2-on-0 breakaway against Boston Bruins backup goalie Chad Johnson. Johnson had the last laugh however as the B's won 6-3.
