Sesame Street's 'Hungry Games: Catching Fur' Parody

We don't need to tell you, "Hunger Games" fans out there, that "Catching Fire" is coming out on Friday. Half of you are probably already in line for it. But, to tide you over until the big day, "Sesame Street" has thankfully released another of its pitch-perfect parodies, this time titled "The Hungry Games: Catching Fur." The role of Katniss is taken, this time, by Cookie Monster, playing "Cookieness Evereat." In other clever turns, Peeta is now, well, pita bread. And rather than tests of mettle and wits, it seems that the characters are all tasked with snack-based missions. Once again, "Sesame Street" has come up with a parody that has caught on with the masses. The video is nearly at 400,000 views, with many more to come. Fans of the video wrote things like, "Can't wait for 'Hungry Games: Cookiejay!'" and "Being heroine of entire franchise is hard work. Couldn't have said it better myself, Cookieness.” So check out the video, and tell us about your plans for seeing "Catching Fire" on Facebook or Twitter. As Effie Trinket says, "May the cookies be ever in your flavor."
