Team Romney trashes Obama’s Rolling Stone remark

WORTHINGTON, Ohio—Mitt Romney's campaign is blasting President Barack Obama's reported remark to Rolling Stone magazine that his GOP rival is a "bullshitter."

Asked for a response, Romney adviser Kevin Madden said Obama is "rattled and on the defensive."

"He's running on empty and has nothing left but attacks and insults," Madden said. "It's unfortunate he has to close the final days of the campaign this way."

Madden's comes as Romney has repeatedly trashed Obama going on the attack instead of offering specifics about what he would do in a second term.

Speaking at a rally outside a processed steel company here, Romney slammed his opponent for a "diminished" campaign.

"Attacking me is not an agenda," Romney said.
