Romney and Ryan to campaign together in NH

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will share a stage sooner than their campaign had originally planned.

A Romney aide confirms to Yahoo News that Romney and his vice presidential running mate will hold a joint town hall meeting in Manchester, N.H., on Monday—their first joint appearance in a little over a week.

The campaign had originally indicated the two would not appear together until the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., which begins on Aug. 27. Romney aides did not explain why plans had changed.

A Romney aide noted it will be the 100th town hall the candidate has held since officially launching his second bid for the presidency in 2011. The event comes just two days after President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit the state.

The trip will mark the Wisconsin congressman's first visit to New Hampshire as Romney's VP. The presumptive Republican nominee had originally planned to unveil Ryan as his running mate at a rally in the crucial battleground state last Friday, but the announcement was moved to Saturday in Norfolk, Va., after Ryan had a scheduling conflict.
