Romney will return to Tampa for Ryan’s RNC speech

TAMPA—Mitt Romney will return to Tampa Wednesday night to watch his running mate Paul Ryan's speech at the Republican National Convention—though it's unclear if he will make an appearance inside the convention hall.

Romney had been scheduled to spend the night in Indianapolis, where he's making a speech to the American Legion later this afternoon. But the campaign shifted plans this morning, informing his traveling press corps that he will instead fly back to Tampa early.

Romney made an unannounced appearance at the RNC on Tuesday night, when he walked out to give his wife, Ann, a kiss and a hug after her speech. The two then stayed to watch New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's keynote address from a reserved seating box just off the convention floor.
