Rob Portman, the Republican senator from Ohio and a leading candidate in the Great Mentioning for Mitt Romney's running mate, will join a fundraising conference conference call Monday with New York-area donors, a source familiar with the call told Yahoo News.
The meeting, first reported by Politico, will take place from the office of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson on Monday morning and offer Romney donors an opportunity to speak with Portman.
Paul Ryan--the House Budget Committee chairman and another name speculated to be on Romney's veep list--joined the call last week, Politico reported.
Portman will attend a luncheon for journalists in New York hosted by Bloomberg View later that day.
