The Obamas will attend next week’s space shuttle launch

President Obama and his family will attend next week's scheduled launch of the space shuttle Endeavour in Florida, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The April 29 launch will be NASA's second-to-last shuttle mission to space. The shuttle is being commanded by astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

The Arizona congresswoman, who was injured in January's deadly shooting in Tucson, remains in a Houston rehabilitation center, but is said to be preparing to attend next week's launch, though her doctors have yet to give a final sign-off.
