Not all Republicans think Huntsman’s work for Obama is a disqualifier in 2012

Jon Huntsman has been taking plenty of flack--anonymously, at least--for his stint as President Obama's ambassador to China. But is the former GOP governor's work for a Democratic administration really a deal breaker for Republicans if he decides to run for president?

As The Hill's Michael O'Brien writes, some notable GOPers don't think it's that big of a deal.

That list includes South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson, who famously yelled "you lie" at Obama during a health care speech before Congress two years ago.

He says Huntsman would "absolutely" make an acceptable 2012 GOP nominee.

"I consider it a compliment for anybody to be selected to be ambassador to China," Wilson tells The Hill. "So I think that enhances his credentials--he was sent to represent the people of the United States."
