President Obama is slated to unveil an economic plan at 7 p.m. tonight before a joint session of Congress that reportedly contains many proposals designed to turn around the nation's job situation.

In advance of Obama's address, the Republican presidential candidates, members of Congress and others have attacked the president for the country's continued economic turmoil and high unemployment rate. But tonight, Obama gets his chance to respond.
