Kelly Ayotte if chosen as VP: ‘Debating Joe Biden would be quite enjoyable’

New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, rumored to be on Mitt Romney's list of possible running mates, told the Boston Herald this week that she's looking forward to a chance to debate Vice President Joe Biden if picked.

"Certainly, debating Joe Biden would be quite enjoyable," Ayotte told the Herald. "Let's face it, he's got a very different vision for this country than I do."

Ayotte joked that it would not be difficult to get Biden, famous for consistently going off message over his decades-long political career, to make a gaffe.

"I don't think there's probably anything we have to do to make that happen," she said. "The vice president does have a way with words."

Clarification: The original post said that Mitt Romney had named Sen. Kelly Ayotte as a possible running mate, when in fact she has just campaigned with him and been rumored as a VP contender.
