Here is our roster of stories that somehow managed to evade the full-on blog treatment:

• Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke has been hospitalized for a blood clot issue, in the same facility where Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is being hospitalized for kidney stones. (ABC News)

• Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu has come out strongly against the Obama tax cut package. (

• Gay rights activists booed West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin  today for voting against the repeal of "Don't ask, don't tell." (Politico)

• The White House thinks that the New START agreement on nuclear nonproliferation with Russia will win ratification in the Senate early next year. (CNN)
