Dick Cheney’s memoir will be released in August

Former Vice President Dick Cheney has finished his long-awaited memoir.

Cheney's book, "In My Time: A Personal and Political Memoir," was written in collaboration with his oldest daughter, Liz Cheney, and is set to be released Aug. 30--just days before the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Liz Cheney tells the Associated Press the book will focus primarily on her father's years in Washington, including his time as chief of staff for President Gerald Ford and winding through to his years in George W. Bush's White House.

Asked if her father will write about his tensions with Bush, which the former president referenced in his own memoir, she replied, "That's just scratching the surface."
