Bachmann poses for 2012 calendar

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann will make a cameo in a 2012 calendar put out by a nonprofit conservative women's group--but, unless you skip ahead, you won't see her until after the November election.

The "Great American Conservative Women" calendar, organized annually for the past seven years by the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, features a full-page photo on its December page of the Minnesota congresswoman in the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.

The group awarded Bachmann a leadership award in 2010, and she has spoken at several events organized by the institute. This is the third year in a row she has appeared on the calendar.

The organization makes clear, however, that Bachmann's participation is not an endorsement of the candidate. "The Institute does not support, endorse or oppose candidates for public office," the calendar reads.

Interestingly, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is not featured, but a CBLPI spokeswoman said the group wanted to include her.

"We would love to have Palin in the calendar," CBLI Lecture Director Alyssa Cordova told The Ticket. "We invite her every year and are hoping she'll be able to participate next year."

The pages for the other eleven months feature pictures of conservative women, include three members of Congress, Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle of New York, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington and Rep. Renee Ellmers of North Carolina.

The group has the calendars available for a $25 donation.
