Ahead of possible 2012 run, Huntsman to meet with Haley

As he contemplates a 2012 run, Jon Huntsman will meet with South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who looks to be an influential endorsement in the upcoming GOP presidential primary.

Per Politico's Juana Summers, Huntsman, who officially left his post as President Obama's ambassador to China last week, will meet with Haley tomorrow when he's in the state to deliver a commencement address.

His visit comes as Haley has hinted her vote is up for grabs ahead of next year's primary.

While she was a top supporter of Mitt Romney in 2008, she said last month that she remains "unimpressed" with the 2012 field and has openly questioned why another 2012er, Newt Gingrich, is running.

In March, Tim Pawlenty went out of his way to pay Haley a visit--a sit-down that appears to have gone well. She praised Pawlenty in an interview with several reporters today, including Ben Smith.
