Lego releases the Minecraft set you’ve been waiting for

If you're the type of Minecraft fan who loves seeing real-life adaptations of the game (even to the point of having a Minecraft-themed wedding), you'll love Lego's newest offering: A Minecraft set, complete with default player Steve, a Creeper, and building blocks you can use to make a real, tangible shelter.

The set began as a project on Lego Cuusoo, which is a portal where fans can vote for Lego sets designed by other fans. Any project that gets 10,000 votes will be evaluated by the Lego team; if it passes, it gets released commercially.

According to an early review of the set that you can watch below, it was designed specifically with Minecraft fans in mind. It doesn't have that many special parts that hardcore Lego hobbyists love, though it does have a few spare parts you can use to tweak the look of the finished piece.

You can get the Lego Minecraft set online for $34.99.
