Bing’s new search feature lets you browse friends’ Facebook photos

Looks like Microsoft's search engine Bing is trying to get up close and maybe a little too personal. A new feature called Friends' Photos allows you to log in to Facebook within Bing and search the pictures your connections have uploaded to the network. You can browse through the images in an interface that looks a lot like Facebook's, commenting and Liking on the pictures. There won't be a link to it on the main Bing search site, but it will be included in Bing's Social sidebar.

It's the type of update that will probably make a lot of Facebook users uncomfortable. Microsoft has stressed that it will honor the privacy settings set in the social network, so that photos you only want your friends to see will only be available to those people. But it is a good reminder that you should take another look at your privacy settings on Facebook to make sure your photos are secure. We've also got some advice about how to avoid getting tagged in photos that you don't want the world to see.
