Your chance to ask President Obama about housing

Ever wish you had the ear of the president? You do now.

On Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Phoenix, President Obama will "lay out his plan to continue helping responsible homeowners and those who seek to own their own homes as the next cornerstone of a strong middle class in America," the White House says.

A day later, at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, Aug. 7, the president will answer questions from the public. The questions will be curated by longtime Yahoo! Homes partner Zillow, whose CEO, Spencer Rascoff, will moderate the discussion.

And that's where you come in.

Starting now, you can submit questions to President Obama using the #AskObamaHousing hashtag. You can:

  • Submit a short video question via YouTube, Instagram or Vine, then share it on Twitter or Facebook using the #AskObamaHousing hashtag.

  • Tweet your question using the #AskObamaHousing hashtag.

  • Post a question to Zillow's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Zillow).

The president will not know the questions in advance.

Yahoo! Homes, the exclusive media partner for the event, will live-stream President Obama's answers here on our Spaces blog at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
