Yahoo! challenge: Take a picture of bears fishing for salmon on Alaska river live cam

Officials at Alaska's Katmai National Park & Preserve launched a "Brown Bear & Salmon Cam," in which you can watch bears fish in the Brooks Falls of the Alagnak Wild River.

The addictive footage has us at the Sideshow wondering how long it will take for one of the bears to catch a salmon live on camera. The live cam site says the best viewing hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Alaska time.

If you check out the live cam and happen to spot a bear successfully catching a salmon, take a screen capture of the image and email it to us at sideshowblog@yahoo.com.

Tell us how long it took you to capture the image, and we'll post the photo along with your comments.

We're big fans of animal live cams here at the Sideshow. Last week, we showed you the Pet Collective's 24/7 CorgiCam. And Washington, D.C.'s National Zoo has a series of live cams available to view on its website, including cheetah, ferret and otter cams.
