This one is for hardcore "Star Wars" fans—as well as anyone who appreciates a newspaper that can poke fun at itself.

The Tampa Bay Times recently issued a correction to a story it printed about speed dating at Comic-Con. The correction, which we first saw at Poynter.org, is too good to summarize, so here it is in all its nerdtacular glory.

This story has been updated to reflect the following change: A Tampa Bay Times reporter not strong in the ways of the force (or Star Wars lore) quoted the event’s moderator, Croix Provence, as asking: “Are you ready to find love in all the wrong places?” What Provence actually said was: “Are you ready to find love in Alderaan places?” She was referring to Princess Leia Organa’s home world, which appeared briefly in the 1977 film. Regret the error, we do.

Hats off to the Times for realizing that this was a mistake that could not be ignored. After all, the people of Alderaan have suffered enough. As any self-respecting "Star Wars" junkie knows, the peace-loving planet was blown to smithereens by Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin because they wanted to test the Death Star's mega-laser-thingamajig. Jerks.
