A woman accused of breaking and entering and then stealing from a hotel was arrested in what would have been her getaway car on Monday morning in Curtis, Mich.

The twist: The woman had locked herself in the car and couldn't get out because the interior door latches were stuck and she'd dropped her keys, according to police. Without the keys, she couldn't roll down her windows.

"During the course of the theft, the suspect unknowingly lost the keys to the vehicle and after loading and getting into it, realized she was locked inside because the inside door latches were broken," explained troopers in a news release.

ClickOnDetroit.com reports the 42-year-old woman was alleged to have been found with food, dishes and silverware from Chamberlin's Inn.

When police arrived at the scene they found the suspect still in her car and unable to go anywhere, according to ClickOnDetroit.com. She was held in jail pending formal charges.
