Iggy Pop bobblehead somehow even scarier looking than Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop, the permanently shirtless singer and frontman of legendary protopunk band The Stooges, is getting his own bobblehead.

The 65-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is being honored with a limited edition 7-inch bobblehead--or "throbblehead"--that looks just as frightening as the leathery singer himself. Thankfully, Aggronautix, the company behind the figurines, is producing just 1,000 of the poly-resin bobbleheads, which will retail for $24.95 a, uh, pop. (They're now taking preorders for shipping in early October.)

Pop--whose given name is James Newell Osterberg Jr.--is not the first rocker to receive the Aggronautix "throbblehead" treatment.

Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J. Mascis, Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra, GG Allin and Andrew W.K. are among dozens of punk and post-punk notables to be reproduced as bobbleheads.

Even colorful dub icon Lee "Scratch" Perry has his own bobble--or, perhaps more accurately, "wobblehead."
