Most deer can be found in the forest or your backyard―but not in rivers. This unfortunate creature, whose water-logged adventure was caught on tape, somehow ended up in the Genesee River in Rochester, New York.
According to the Rochester news site YNN.com, Lee Wallace and Jason Quamo were eating lunch when they noticed the deer floating straight toward a waterfall―and a bad ending.
So the two boaters headed toward the deer. Using rope, they secured the animal, and after several tries they guided it to shore.
The video shows the exhausted deer collapsed on the river bank surrounded by a curious crowd.
The good Samaritans tell people to back off, and finally the deer springs to life and lopes away, seemingly unhurt, to the applause of bystanders.
