Enormous boulder narrowly misses car in landslide

An enormous boulder that tumbled down a hillside in Taiwan last week narrowly missed a car carrying two very lucky passengers, footage from a fellow driver's dash-mounted camera shows.

The cars were traveling in Keelung during a rainstorm Saturday when debris from the hillside began falling on the roadway.

Video footage shows the car swerve to the left, avoiding the initial debris. The giant rock then comes crashing down on the highway, grazing the car and coming to rest where the driver had been. The driver and passenger of the car suffered minor injuries.

A tropical storm dumped nearly 20 inches of rain on Taiwan over the weekend, triggering landslides and forcing thousands of residents to evacuate. At least three people were killed during the storm, according to reports from the region.
