Horse-riding in North Philadelphia

There are a lot of things you'd expect to see in North Philly. Locals riding horses through the neighborhood is not one of them.

But as strange as it seems, there are a handful of North Philly residents who own and take care of beautiful steeds, turning abandoned lots around their homes into working stables. They then ride the horses through the streets to large fields and parks where the horses can let loose. A couple of Philly's own cowboys have surfaced on Youtube, where they can be seen below trotting through the Temple area.
