Jason Aldean’s Tour Bus Involved in Fatal Accident

Jason Aldean's week has started out on a tragic note: The country superstar's tour bus tour bus struck and killed a pedestrian in Knox County, Indiana very early Monday morning.

According to ABC News, local resident Albert Kennedy "walked out into the middle of the roadway" around 1:30 a.m. Monday and was struck by Aldean's bus on the northbound lane of US 41 North. The police report noted the man died from trauma to the head and chest.

There's no word yet as to why Kennedy was out on the highway. Aldean was confirmed to be on the bus at the time of the incident, which is still under investigation.

Aldean tweeted on Monday: "With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."

The 36-year-old singer has been going through a stretch of personal highs and lows over the past two years. On November 5, he will open up exclusively to ABC's "In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts" about his tabloid-publicized divorce.
