Hunter Hayes Discusses How 'Storyline' is His Version of a Vacation

Hunter Hayes is not an artist of few words...or few of anything, for that matter. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is prolific in every area of his career, be it the number of instruments he plays, the vault of songs he's composed, or the interesting feats he's accomplished (most recently, for example, he broke the Guinness World Record for most concerts played in multiple cities in 24 hours).

The young musician has just released his sophomore album, Storyline, and sat down with Yahoo Music to discuss all that went into the creation of the set. He's especially proud of the fact that he's worked with a great deal of experimentation on this particular release ("a lot of trying stuff, just for the sake of trying stuff"). Fans will be delighted to know that Hayes also reveals he's got a vault of unreleased material that one day he just might put together into a collection when the time is right!

Oh, and for those wondering, does the notorious workaholic ever take a vacation, and if he does, what's his preferred form of relaxation? "I'm horrible at that," he admits.

In the end, Hayes's Storyline is where he finds his best sense of completeness and ease. "I have made the effort recently [to relax]," he notes. "But, I do what I love. It is a vacation."

Hayes will be touring the States through the summer. If you'd like to keep up with his schedule, check here.
