Reporter hit by massive wave of snow by passing snowplow on live TV
During a live early morning shot, WTXF Fox 29’s veteran reporter Steve Keeley was hit with a giant wave of snow by a passing plow.
Keely was covering a storm in Woodstown, New Jersey when he was blasted by the snow, mid-sentence. In the video, which is spreading quickly across the internet and you can view here, the reporter gets so covered in the white stuff that he can’t be made out in the shot.
A consummate professional, Mr. Keeley barely paused before completing his sentence. However, two of his off camera colleagues in the studio can be heard shrieking out of concern. The station reported that a person claiming to be the snowplow driver called the newsroom to apologize and explain that he didn't see Keeley.
Keeley appeared uninjured by the blow and was able to laugh at it a little later during “Good Day Philadelphia.” While still on location in the storm he said, "You know I've spent my whole time here, ever since the invention of YouTube, I have done everything I could to avoid being a YouTube star, and I think that hit will be on YouTube."
He thinks it will be on YouTube? Nah.
