$1200 high-tech beer pong table designed for MIT fraternity

Phi Beta Epsilon at MIT has a fitting addition to their fraternity house: a high-tech $1200 custom beer pong table. Outsmarting Technologies CEO and Phi Beta Epsilon brother, Christian Reed designed and built, “The Formidable Beer Pong Table” to withstand the game’s various perils like slam-dunk plays, table run off, and even dirty balls. The Outsmarting Technologies website notes that, “Reliability and innovation were two key factors in creating this table as it was likely to be used and abused for many years with minimal maintenance.” As Christian shared in a post on instructables.com, the table was designed and constructed in about seven days and features a frame on six casters that can withstand an impact of 215lbs, a gutter collection system for runoff, and dual automatic ball washers. The table was also built with beauty to match the technological features with highlighting illumination and an oak surface with a waterproof polyurethane sealant.
