How bad has it gotten for the Texans? Vince Young thinks he can help them

Just when you thought the Houston Texans had hit rock bottom, getting blown out by the St. Louis Rams, you checked Vince Young's Twitter account.

Young, who hasn't taken a NFL regular-season snap since 2011, is a Houston native. He was paying attention as the Texans melted down against the Rams. Quarterback Matt Schaub's struggles are well documented, and backup quarterback T.J. Yates threw a pick-six against the Rams after Schaub got injured.

And the Houston native put two and two together, and offered his services.

Yep. That's where we are, Texans. Vince Young is ready to come save you. Young has been cut by the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers at the end of the last two preseasons. The third pick of the 2006 draft didn't have the best career before that either.

But with the problems the Texans are having, it couldn't get much worse with Young, right?
