Hurricane Irene interactive: East Coast braces for impact

A large and powerful Category 3 storm with winds of 115 mph roared through the Bahamas and is now making its way toward the eastern seaboard. Millions of people from North Carolina to New England are bracing for Hurricane Irene, which is expected to move up the coast starting this weekend. The storm has already been responsible for at least three deaths, one in Puerto Rico and two in the Dominican Republic.
