Another Woman Sexually Attacked In South Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man wanted for up to a dozen sexual attacks on women may have struck again in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says they are looking for a man who allegedly groped a woman on Vanderbilt Street in Windsor Terrace.

Police say the suspect, who was possibly Hispanic, approached the woman from behind and groped her. The suspect fled.

The incident occurred just before midnight.

It's not clear if this is tied to the series of sexual assaults that has been plaguing Park Slope. Recently, detectives had been stepping up their efforts to catch the groper. They've been taking laptops around, showing surveillance video of the attacks to witnesses, victims and even defendants in central booking.

"A lot of canvassing is going on," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

The Guardian Angels were also involved, making their presence known at subway stations and along sidewalks.

Last Tuesday, police arrested Federico Chamorro Yax, 22, for allegedly groping women on two occasions.
