DPS: John Madden not happy with Redskins

John Madden doesn't think it's fair for the Redskins to sit their healthy starting quarterback and it questions the integrity of the game. Hours after Robert Griffin III was benched for the remainder of the season, his teammates also expressed compassion for the situation the Redskins’ quarterback finds himself in.

They also expressed confidence in Kirk Cousins’ ability to lead them.

“I know he’s probably going to be pissed,” wide receiver Santana Moss said of Griffin. “I would be pissed. But at the end of the day, you have to take a positive out of it, if you are put in that situation. Robert knows he’s going to be here. Robert knows he has time to correct everything he did this year that he don’t feel like he was at his best with.”

Moss added: “I’ve been through this before. …It’s been a tough season, no player—and I do believe no player—want to be in Robert’s situation right now. You feel for him having to go through it. But at the end of the day, if it’s going to help, take a little off him and give him a little more a time to say, ‘Okay, you know what? This season is behind me. Let’s get ready for next year.’”
