Watch Kevin Love dismiss a reporter’s question that wasn’t really a question (Video)

You had to credit Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love for his good sense of humor following his team’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. His team nearly pulled off back-to-back wins over the two Los Angeles teams on consecutive nights, no small feat even considering the Lakers’ current struggles, coming just short of tying the Clippers in the final seconds on Monday.

Watch:

Because you can’t do anything but laugh at coming that close while working a million miles from home, Love’s reaction was appropriate. His patience didn’t last long, though, as Love glared his way through one of those infamous non-question questions that reporters love to pose, in the locker room following the contest. Via Sports Illustrated, have an awkward moment:

He’s right. That’s not a question, just part of a narrative and play by play that the reporter wanted Love to finish off for him. Pretty standard locker room and podium fare, frankly, but one that tends to get old as a seven month season (plus playoffs, the Wolves hope) wears on.

Toss in its placement at the end of a tough game against another Western up and comer in the Clippers, on the second night of a back to back no less, and you can see why Kevin wanted to get the hell out of Dodge. We don’t blame the guy, and the as-yet-unnamed reporter probably doesn’t either in retrospect.

Seriously, though, Kevin? Talk about the game.

(Ducks.)

Love, because he’s awesome, finished with 23 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists.
