Like his head coach, legendary big man Tim Duncan was clearly processing some powerful emotions after his San Antonio Spurs finished off their five-game demolition of the Miami Heat to win the 2014 NBA Finals and capture his fifth league championship. The 38-year-old legend was working through the exorcism of what he called a haunting loss to Miami in the 2013 finals ("It makes last year OK," he told ABC's Doris Burke after Sunday's win) as well as joy at having reached the top of the mountain for the first time in seven years and the acknowledgement that he's nearing the finish line of his first-ballot Hall-of-Fame career ("I know it's coming to an end").

Duncan also referenced his children, daughter Sydney and son Draven, during his chat with Burke, saying the experience of winning it all amid "all [they'd] been through" made this a "very emotional time." That emotion swung toward elation during his postgame news conference, where Duncan was joined by his two young charges, prompting a reporter to ask him if the win — in which Duncan scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished two assists and blocked two shots in 33-plus minutes — felt particularly rewarding due to taking place on Father's Day.

"Very special," said Duncan, flanked by his two kids. "It was already a special day, but to do it at home, to do it with my kids and my family and my friends here made it so much more special. Just a great experience, and a great experience for them."

Sydney and Draven got another great experience a few minutes later, when they, too, became part of the show, thanks to the final question of Dad's session:

From the NBA's transcript:

Q. This question is actually for your kids. What do you guys think of your dad tonight?

TIM DUNCAN: He said what do you think of your dad tonight?

SYDNEY DUNCAN: I think he did awesome and he tried his best.

TIM DUNCAN: What else? Say something nice about me.

DRAVEN DUNCAN: I like his hat.

TIM DUNCAN: Thank you.

As Father's Day gifts go, that one's going to be hard to top. (Way to speak from the heart, Draven.)

Here's more of Timmy celebrating Ring No. 5 with his pride and joy:

And here's photographic proof that Draven takes after his old man:

And, last but not least, here's Dad enjoying a slightly more adult title celebration in the winners' locker room:
