Great moments in NBA Vine struggle: Marcin Gortat’s ‘Dream Shake’ and Anthony Bennett’s ‘big bucket’ (Videos)
As we move full steam ahead toward a nice, quiet Thursday night double-header, let's say goodbye to Wednesday's frantic, frenetic 12-game slate with a pair of laughs at millionaires' expense, looped for our pleasure.
The first comes to us from the Washington Wizards' defeat at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs, who just keep rolling on and kicking an area of the anatomy from which Nene would like teammates to pull their heads. In describing the Spurs' silky smooth mastery, Washington center Marcin Gortat compared watching San Antonio's offense to "listening to Mozart." In describing Gortat's attempt at mimicking Hakeem Olajuwon, I will compare watching Gortat's low-post footwork to listening to the horn from "The Price is Right."
The second comes to us from the Cleveland Cavaliers' butt-whipping by the Minnesota Timberwolves, who rendered that game over by the middle of the second quarter thanks to the long-range bombing of Kevin Love and Corey Brewer, and the brilliant offensive orchestration of point guard Ricky Rubio. Facing a 20-plus-point deficit for a solid two-thirds of the game equates to plenty of garbage time, rendering most statistical achievement in the latter stages of this one pretty meaningless ... but when you go scoreless in your first four NBA games after being the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, make just one of your first 21 shots, and are sitting on 3-for-11 in the closing moments of a 29-point blowout, you'll pick up any piece of trash you can find.

Unfortunately, the dunk came after the buzzer and didn't count. Just one more miss for the struggling rook.
