Dynamic Duo of Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Return as Golden Globe Hosts

They liked them. They really, really liked them.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler proved to be such a hit as hosts of the 2013 Golden Globes, they've signed on for two more years. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Dick Clark Productions, and NBC announced Tuesday that the dynamic duo would be emceeing the event in 2014 and 2015.

"We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years," said Theo Kingma, who is the president of the HFPA, in a statement. "Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year."

Dick Clark Productions CEO Allen Shapiro chimed in as well, saying, "Tina and Amy have a truly unique chemistry, making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all time. We are thrilled to have them back in 2014 and 2015."

The 2013 telecast was the second-highest-rated Golden Globes in nine years. The "30 Rock" alum and "Parks & Recreation" star, who previously worked together for many years on "Saturday Night Live" (in addition to co-hosting the "Weekend Update" segment, they memorably brought us their humorous takes on Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin during the election) were a natural pair, and their jokes about previous host Ricky Gervais and Taylor Swift's love life brought on the laughs.

In addition to their collaboration on "SNL," Fey and Poehler, who have become a bit of a Lucy and Ethel-esque pair (their recent Emmy appearance included), teamed up for movies "Mean Girls" and "Baby Mama." And their friendship extends well beyond that — they both were in the Chicago improv troupe Second City before finding prime-time success.

Talking about their friendship with Babble, Poehler joked that when she met Fey, "I was like, I finally found the woman I want to marry." For her part, Fey wrote in her book "Bossypants" that she "felt less alone" when Poehler was hired to join the "SNL" cast.

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on January 12, 2014, from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. It airs on NBC.
