Jose Reyes Instagrams himself with Jay-Z — does Roc Nation have a new shortstop?

Jay-Z already signed his star second baseman. Is he courting a shortstop now too?

Jose Reyes of the Toronto Blue Jays posted this picture Friday on Instagram, buddying up with Jay-Z, the rap mogul turned sports agent who already pried Robinson Cano away from Scott Boras.

Hov's growing Roc Nation roster also includes NBA star Kevin Durant, New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz and recent NFL draft pick Geno Smith. Jay's dealings with college football player Jadevon Clowney have made headlines recently. And in MLB, the rookie agent has been linked to Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig and A's slugger Yoenis Cespedes, but nothing's official.

Keep it mind, this is just a picture. It just doesn't mean Reyes is next. It could mean any number of things. Before Jay-Z stole Cano and the others, such a pic would have meant, "Oh, that's cool, he met Jay-Z." Now it means Reyes' current agent Peter Greenberg better be calling his client.

Reyes' caption — in Spanish — didn't proclaim he was joining Roc Nation. He said Jay-Z's voice is smooth like molasses and thanks "his brother" Robinson Cano (both players hail from the Dominican Republic).

We assume Reyes is thanking Cano for introducing him to Jay-Z. But what if he's thanking Cano for something else? Hmmm.

Baseball season's in full swing. Don't miss a thing.
