Tropical Storm Isaac: How to help

Tropical Storm Isaac continues to weaken as it heads north toward Arkansas, but storm surges and heavy rainfall have flooded areas in Mississippi and Louisiana. The Coast Guard and Louisiana National Guard are working to rescue people stranded by high waters in low-lying areas.

Below are organizations that are mobilizing relief efforts in the region:

AMERICAN RED CROSS: The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
