Attending Obama’s inauguration? Send us your photos

President Barack Obama will be sworn in for his second term in office on Jan. 21, and Yahoo News wants to see what it looks like from your perspective!

If you are attending the inauguration or going to related festivities in Washington, take photos and share them with us, and we might showcase them in a slideshow on our site. We’re looking for candid, on-the-scene photos that capture what’s going on, the mood of the day in Washington and other visual details from the ceremony.

Here's how you can participate:

• Join the Yahoo News Breaking News group on Flickr and add your photos as soon as possible after taking them.

• If you're taking photos with your mobile phone, use Flickr’s mobile apps to share inauguration shots on the fly. Check out Flickr's mobile apps for iPhone, Android and Windows, and learn other ways to share.

• Tag your photos on Flickr with "next4years" so we can locate them easily.

Not interested in the inauguration? You can still share photos with us anytime! Browse our new Photo Assignment Desk that Yahoo News and Flickr created to let you know what photo projects we’re working on. We’re inviting photographers to share their best shots for a variety of projects—stunning snow scenes, mobile panoramas and more. We're featuring the best Flickr photography on Yahoo News. Learn more.
