Lane Garrison, who is co-starring in a remake of “Bonnie & Clyde” is well known for his role on “Prison Break.” But one night, life imitated art – and things took a tragic turn.

“I foolishly chose to drink and drive one night at a party that was two blocks from my house and I got behind the wheel,” Lane said. “Nineteen minutes later I got in an accident one block from my house and a young man was killed.”

Lane found himself going from “Prison Break” to prison for two years.

The experience has allowed Lane to use his celebrity for a worthwhile cause. He now openly talks about the dangers of drinking and driving.

“I’m so blessed to be sitting on this couch and getting a second chance and spreading the message about not drinking and driving,” he said. “I’m really hoping people can understand the dangers of it.”
