Phil Mickelson three-putts from three feet during the second round of the British Open
Following Phil Mickelson's opening round at the British Open, the four-time major winner had some heated things to say about the R&A's setup of the greens at Muirfield.
Following his adventures on the 16th hole on Friday, I'm sure those thoughts won't change. Mickelson was sitting at 1-over for the day and 1-under for the championship, an extremely respectable position considering how tough Muirfield has played these first two days, and after two-putting the tough 15th, got to the par-3 16th hoping to make a par and get back to even with the par-5 coming up.
He found the green off the tee, and after missing his birdie putt, faced a three footer for par. Mickelson gunned that putt by the hole and then missed the comebacker for bogey, taking three putts from three feet to card a double-bogey five and doom his chances of getting his round back to par.
