Chelsea stars John Terry and Frank Lampard go on double dates

It's not everyday that you see two prominent footballers walking around on double dates with their partners in London.

That's exactly what Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, 35, and John Terry, 32, got up to last Saturday with their respective WAGS, Christine Bleakley and Toni Terry.

After a convincing 4-1 win over Cardiff City which took them to second spot on the Premiership table, the lads took the ladies out to a posh area called the Annabel's members club that same evening.

And naturally, the WAGS dressed to impress, with Bleakley wowing the crowd in a slinky black dress paired with a fur vest and Terry's wife in a nude bodycon dress.

Toni and Terry have been dating since they were both 16, and despite cheating scandals rocking their marriage in the last two years, she has stood by her husband, who retired from the England national team last September.

Meanwhile, although Frank Lampard announced he would be postponing his wedding to focus on England's World Cup campaign, he has already shared details of his upcoming nuptials to Northern Irish TV presenter Bleakley.

Lampard grumbled on a British talk show that Bleakley had left him to do "all the planning" for the wedding, after the World Cup next year. He said she would be "happy for him" to organize the bulk of the preparations - save for the dress she would be wearing.

However, Lampard added that it would be a far cry from David Beckham's wedding, which gripped England in 1999 with an estimated cost of $820,000 (S$1,016,230).

He said: "We're not going to have a huge celebrity wedding. We're going to have close family and we're planning that at the minute."

In still more relationship news, Russian supermodel Irina Shayk has spoken at length about her relationship with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 27-year-old, who has been dating the hottest property in football since the start of 2011, admitted that a key component of their relationship was the Real Madrid forward's ability to understand her.

"I'm enjoying my relationship. (Cristiano) is the perfect supporter, he's always by my side and he knows how to make me happy," explained Shayk in November's edition of Vogue (Spain).

"I understand him perfectly well, and he understands me too and (especially) my job which is something very important to me. I love my profession and traveling, so I need my partner to understand what I'm doing and give me the strength and support to do it."

Shayk recalled that she met Ronaldo through a mutual friend, and despite constant rumours of infidelity, their relationship has remained strong in the last two years.

She is often spotted in his VIP box at the Santiago Bernabeu as well as out and about Madrid hotspots.

"Sometimes I can be a very challenging person and Cristiano has to show a true display of patience to deal with my character, said Shayk, who was born in a small town in Russia called Yemanzhelinsk. "So I also do my best to offer my support when he needs it."

She later added that despite all the rumours about an upcoming wedding, there is nothing planned so far.

"Like any woman , I also want to have children, a family and many animals around me. But these are things you cannot plan, the right time must come and you never know when it will be right for you," she added.
