First Look: BBC America's Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton Movie Heavy on Pleasure [Video]
Apologies to La Lohan, but BBC America's "Burton and Taylor," another TV drama take on the infamously tempestuous relationship between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, looks heavier on the pleasure, lighter on the "guilty" than did "Liz & Dick," last year's Lifetime flick featuring LiLo as Taylor.
The BBCa movie, which premieres on Oct. 16, stars Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter as Taylor and Golden Globe nominee and "The Wire" alum Dominic West as Burton. The flick unfolds the duo's on-again, off-again personal life — Burton was Taylor's fifth and sixth husband — as well as their final co-starring project, the play "Private Lives."

As seen in the preview above, Taylor and Burton, who began their relationship when they co-starred in the 1963 movie "Cleopatra," were passionate in their fighting and their making up. Their 1964 marriage ended in 1974, only to see the two remarry in October 1975 and divorce again in less than a year. Taylor was married eight times in total, while Burton was married five.
"Burton and Taylor" premieres Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
