'The Big Bang Theory' Season 6 DVD Extra: 'One Small Step for Wolowitz...' Is Zazzy! [Exclusive Clip]

Hold on to your Froot Loops, boys and girls, because we've got an exclusive first look at "One Small Step for Wolowitz, One Giant Leap for Primetime," a "Big Bang Theory" Season 6 DVD/Blu-ray extra. This zazzy clip will make you believe a nerd can fly ... screaming and crying all the way!

Howard Wolowitz accomplished two goals during the Season 5 finale: marrying the lovely Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) and riding a rocket to the International Space Station. Season 6 opened with newly married Howie handling not just one but two Mrs. Wolowitzes, as well as some bullying colleagues.

Simon Helberg, the actor filling Wolowitz's tight slacks, revealed that viewers thought he actually went to the ISS. "I feel like in the writers' room, they discussed it: 'He's small, just shoot him up there.' So don't give anyone any ideas," Helberg cautioned "Big Bang Theory" fans.

The actor chafes a bit, though, at the memory of slow-mo, the nongravity acting techniques used in this season: "It's sort of like acting underwater. Then, there were special effects; we were on a pulley and a bicycle seat. There was some chafing ... still slowly recovering."

Wolowitz returned to Earth with an emotional jolt in Season 6. His first night back in Pasadena found him eating cheesecake alone in a diner. It eventually takes a real-life astronaut (Apollo 11 moonwalker Buzz Aldrin) to put his homecoming into perspective.

The romantic orbits of the "BBT" couples wobbled a bit during Season 6 before stabilizing. The glacial — yet adorable — relationship between Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) took a few steps forward, while Penny (Kaley Cuoco) sent Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to the moon with three little words.

Season 6 of "The Big Bang Theory" arrives on DVD/Blu-ray on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Season 7 premieres Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
