Steve Jobs enters heaven via an iPad

The New Yorker, like plenty of other weekly magazines, has Steve Jobs on its upcoming cover.

The October 17, 2011, issue depicts Jobs--in his trademark turtleneck and jeans--at Heaven's gate. Saint Peter is checking the "Book of Life" for Jobs' name ... on an iPad. (One would assume it's the 3G version.)

The issue includes essays on Jobs by Ken Auletta, John Cassidy, Jonah Lehrer, Meghan O'Rourke and other New Yorker contributors.
