Is this The Daily?

Rupert Murdoch is expected to give us all the details behind News Corp's much-anticipated (and highly secretive) iPad newspaper, "The Daily," sometime next week during a presentation with Apple chief Steve Jobs.

But who can wait! So Poynter's Damon Kiesow looked behind the forthcoming website's source code for some hints of what's to come, including what appears to be the first shots of the publication in an ad.

Kiesow notes that there's code for sharing links, which "may indicate the availability of Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit and Newsvine article sharing options."

That's a suggestive development, since questions still remain about how the iPad-only publication may allow for some articles—perhaps through individual URL's that staffers can share—to be read through social network sites and enter the online bloodstream, rather than being completely walled off to The Daily subscribers.
