Nina Dobrev’s Got a New Man!
If Julianne Hough ever decides to leave her Hollywood career behind, she may have a future in matchmaking!
The dancer/singer/actress introduced pal Nina Dobrev to her brother, "Dancing With the Stars" pro Derek Hough, 28, and the two hit it off!
"They are very much together," a friend close to Derek, who started spending time with "The Vampire Diaries" actress, 24, in July, tells omg!. "I could see it getting serious. They both like each other a lot."
For now, the new duo are doing the long-distance thing, with the dancer working in Los Angeles for his hit ABC show (this season he's paired with "Glee's" Amber Riley) while Dobrev films her CW drama in Atlanta — alongside ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, no less!
But don't count Derek and Nina's new relationship out just yet. "They talk all the time and want it to work," our source adds.
In fact, when Derek, who took home an Emmy Sunday night for Outstanding Choreography on "DWTS," was hitting up the gifting lounges last weekend, he had his lady on his mind.
He asked for shoes "for his girlfriend" in the Kari Feinstein Emmys Style Lounge September 19, a source told Us Weekly, adding that the thoughtful guy then "texted Nina for her size."
For the actresss's part, after her man won his trophy, she posted a sweet note and photo of him to her WhoSay account on September 23.
"Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world," she gushed. "Keep shining!"
