Office Theft Is a Million Dollar Problem

You’re in the supply closet, stocking up on supplies for your office - a box of pens, highlighters, a box of tissues.

But, while you're there you decide to swipe some Post-it notes and packaging tape for your home.

You might think this doesn’t hurt your company’s bottom line, they can afford it.

But, according to one survey office place theft potentially costs employers an estimated roughly 3.5 trillion dollars worldwide every year.

One security firm survey found that 95% of us are engaging in it in some capacity. Office supplies, information, and in some professions -time - like shopping online when you should be working.

The reason so little is done about it? Lack of monitoring and reporting, and, companies don’t want this to get out—because it reflects poorly on them.
