"Your Voice, Your Vote: The New America" - ABC News to Examine Issues Relevant to the Booming Hispanic Population with Ongoing Reports

ABC NEWS TO EXAMINE ISSUES RELEVANT TO THE BOOMING HISPANIC POPULATION IN AN ONGOING SERIES OF REPORTS "YOUR VOICE, YOUR VOTE: THE NEW AMERICA"

Reports Begin This Week Across All ABC News Broadcasts and Platforms

ABC News is launching an on-going series of reports, " Your Voice, Your Vote: The New America," to examine how the Hispanic vote will impact the whole political picture in November and beyond. The influence of the booming U.S. Hispanic population is challenging the conventional political wisdom in new and unexpected ways that have both Democrats and Republicans taking notice.

The first reports will begin airing this week in conjunction with Univision's "Meet the Candidate" forums. Tonight, September 19, Diane Sawyer will speak with Univision's Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas as they prepare to moderate the first of their two forums. "World News" weekend anchor David Muir and ABC News senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper will report on Mitt Romney and President Obama's forums respectively.

Throughout the campaign season reports will air across ABC News broadcasts and platforms including "World News with Diane Sawyer," "Good Morning America," and "Nightline" as well as on ABCNews.com and ABC News Radio.

In May ABC News and Univision News announced a joint venture that will launch a 24/7 news, information and lifestyle network primarily in English to serve the youngest and fastest-growing demographic in the country: U.S. Hispanics. Univision anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas, who are moderating Univision's forums, contributed to ABC News' convention coverage at both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
